Hotel Madeira, Funchal (Madeira)

I had a lovely stay at the hotel, with a pretty view over the gardens from my room. The cleanliness and comfort were brilliant for the price, thanks to the thorough job the cleaners did. However, the small room size made finding a table a challenge, and it was usually crowded, requiring self-cleaning before use.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were surprisingly quiet and worth the slightly higher rent; they were cozy but on the small side. A mini fridge would have been useful, especially in warmer months. The service was excellent with helpful staff, but there was a lack of visibility regarding customer opinions on breakfast. The location was ideal, close to the harbor, city center, and shopping areas, nestled in a peaceful part of the city next to a lovely park. The dining options were satisfying with a good selection of items available. The facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay.

The hotel is conveniently located near the municipal gardens, offering clean rooms with comfy beds. The use of a card for the elevator might feel a bit odd, but the overall experience is pleasant.

The hotel's rooms may need redecorating soon, and they feel quite dated and small, with metal venetian blind-type doors that don't open. However, they do have a small balcony overlooking the city center. The service was amazing, with pleasant and helpful staff, although they sometimes arrived in the middle of dressing. The location is ideal, close to the old town and waterfront but not noisy or too busy. The dining experience could be improved, as the breakfast options were limited and not very impressive.

The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms, with friendly staff, in a great location near a beautiful park. However, dining experiences may have a slight delay in serving food. Overall, a pleasant stay with good value for money.
